Alexia Stefanovich is a 22-year-old rising artist living in Washington, DC. She began painting as a child when she was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis; even though JRA limited her physical activity, she could always sit and draw. Due to health complications, she has since gone blind in her right eye (creating the inspiration behind her business name, Right Eye Studios). Her first works depicted her unique perceptions of actual people: these paintings built on sketches that she made of subjects without looking down at the paper, serving as a reminder to always keep your head up even in the most difficult times. She has since moved to more abstract depictions of the human form, and is exploring digital art platforms in addition to her trademark acrylic on canvas.
